We are currently seeking a Help Desk Support Technician that can also serve as our Internal IT support professional. This role will be responsible for providing first line support to end users. This role will act as the point of contact for initial problem reporting and will be required to perform triage on reported problems, collect necessary information and escalate for resolution if necessary. We are looking to a have a highly competent and highly motivated individual in this role. In addition, this role will be responsible for the support of our VMWare virtual environment, storage and internal user support that will manage all aspects of our internal IT needs.

Responsibilities

Some of the primary responsibilities of this role would include:

Helpdesk -

  • Troubleshoot, resolve and provide solutions to end-user problems involving workstations, mobile applications, Apollo software, features, settings and product adjustments.
  • Respond to questions and issues via chat, over the phone or via email
  • Address user issues and follow up to ensure the issues are resolved
  • Collect and document sufficient information to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Log, manage and track user issues
  • Escalate and track issues through internal escalation paths and communicate with customer on status resolution
  • Answer the support line, create tickets and manage tickets through our service and support platform
  • Onboard new customers and ensure customer portals are setup and deployed for said new customers.
  • First line service and support

Internal –

  • Onboard new employees to include setup and deployment of hardware and software
  • Support internal devices: phones, laptops, monitors, printers, switches, servers, software.
  • Provide support for our internal unified communication system
  • Provide support for internal applications: Office365 (Exchange, SharePoint, MS Office), Salesforce CRM, etc.
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large number of users with technical questions and issues
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills that include a thorough understanding of how to interpret users’ technical questions and issues, and ability to resolve these issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently to update and resolve assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to follow documented processes and procedures, provide feedback when necessary, and respond to changes with a positive attitude
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Proficiency with Help Desk and Ticket Management Software
  • Experience with virtualization and VMWare
  • Experience with Windows based operating systems desktop and server
  • Experience with MS Domain, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP
  • Experience with Storage systems, NAS and iSCSI
  • Experience with remote support technologies
  • Experience with service and support software platforms
